In 1999 I began cycling again as a means of physiotherapy and to help improve my strength and fitness after an injury. I dusted off my old Ritchey mountain bike from the early 1980s and set out into the local trails.
A quick upgrade to a full suspension bike left me searching out greater challenges. I soon was reminded of racing through the trees at hare scrambles & enduros on the many dirt bikes from my younger years. Since then I have met some of the most interesting people and had a more exciting life as a result of traveling to and riding in places I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
After a fun and rewarding 2007 season, we felt that our race results would be greatly improved by being members of a well organized team.
The Spoke O’Motion team was our first choice for many reasons. The staff at the store have always been a pleasure to deal with sharing the same genuine passion for the sport of cycling as I’ve had since my earliest memories.
The team’s impressive results from individual members as well as their results as a team speak for themselves. I’m anxious about the 2008 season and hope that our demonstrated dedication to cycling is an inspiration to others to take part in a great family activity that can be enjoyed by men, women and kids of all ages.
