Our Staff are Our Stars!
People are what define our business. At the end of the day, most of the major bike manufacturers build great products at competitive prices. So why shop at Spoke O'Motion? To answer that question for yourself, you really need to come and experience the customer service difference here.
Our staff are our life blood and are reflective of the store values. We believe that information, not pressure tactics, should drive our sales. We believe that information, not marketing fluff, should guide your decisions. We believe that a warranty is only as good as the people who stand behind it. We believe that mechanical excellence comes conscientious execution, not expensive parts alone.
If would l ike to experience what retail should be, then please come by for a visit and meet our STARS. |

Myles Cullen - Head Cheese
I entered the bike business for the purest of reasons: A passion for pedalling. Whether it's a three hour road grind, twenty four solo hours of suffering, a gravity-fed adrenalin rush or an afternoon tooling around the skate park, if it's got two wheels you can count me in.
More than 10 years in cycling retail have taught me the importance of finding the right bike for the right rider. We're not here to sell you something, we're here to help you make the right decision for your needs. |

Andrew Stevenson - Mechanic / Sales
Andy is returning for his third year here at Spokes. And what an addition to the Team he has proven to be. With people skills aplenty, Andy is the guy who stalks the floor just looking for people to please.
Don't yet know what you need? Need some advice on what category of bike will best suit your riding needs? Look no further than Andy: A one-man customer service machine! |

 |
Andy McBride - Mechanic / Sales
Andy #2 is a new hire for 2008. After working delivering the goods with diligence at our southern neighbour, Rec Cycle and Sports, Andy was ready to move to the cycling retail "big league".
With a quiet confidence and a laid-back style, Andy is a young man who fits in perfectly with the Spoke O'Motion mentality: Quality service and honest information delivered in a non-aggressive way. |
|
 |
Brett Rheeder - Mechanic / Sales
I have known the Rheeder family for some time through our Coulson Hill Race Series. Over the years, I have seen Brett transform himself from an impressionable and enthusiastic boy into a young adult ready to tackle the world ahead of him with the drive to follow his passions where they may take him.
And his passions have led him to return to Spoke O'Motion for another season, where his personal and professional growth have led Brett to a position of respect amongst his peers and customers alike. Brett offers his service with a smile, his expertise with experience and never fails to impress with his kindness and good humour. |

 |
Chris Hoffman - Mechanic / Sales
Another new hire for 2008, Chris is well known to those participating in the local dirt jump and urban scene. A rider with impeccable skills, we have learned that Chris is equally eager to win you over with his positive attitude and willingness to learn new things and explore every path that cycling presents.
Chris has a knack for picking up new skills and concepts that serve him well in his capacity as a mechanic. These same skills mean that even if Chris doesn't have the answer to a question you might pose, he'll do what it takes to find the right answer, not just any answer.

 |
Dakota Gunderson - Mechanic / Sales
Coming into his fourth season at Spoke O'Motion, Dakota remains a cornerstone of product knowledge and customer service. At the risk of inflating an ego that shouldn't need much fluffing, I must say that Dakota is one of the warmest, most conscientious, engaging people yuo are likely to meet.
His demeanour conveys the "can-do" attitude that we live and die by here at Spoke O'Motion and Dakota helps to drive that message through to our greener staff at every opportunity. Leading by example is the call of the day here and Dakota answers that call consistently. |
|
 |
Devin Lutz - Mechanic / Sales
In the world of the 20" tire, Devin delivers the goods with a style that none can imitate.
At the store, where Devin is enjoying his first season, he has taken to mechanical work like the proverbial duck to water. Within his first shifts, Devin was tuning bikes with the speed and precision rivalling that of much more experienced mechanics. This mechanical aptitude is a mighty virtue indeed for a shop cranking out more than 100 tune-ups per week!

Justin Sega - Mechanic / Sales
Wait until you meet Justin! Eager as a beaver is the understatement of the year. This young man eats and breathes customer satisfaction. When someone walks in the door, he is the first to jump out and offer his assistance. When another staff member needs a second hand, eye or ear he is the first to jump in. When the day is done, he is the first to pick up a broom and get the cleaning started.
He is passionate about what he does and nothing is too trivial for his attention. That is the epitome of the Spoke O spirit. |

Michael Gray - Mechanic / Sales

Sam Rykhoff - Mechanic / Sales

Simon Winter - Mechanic / Sales
One of the original Spoke O'Motion street wizards, Simon is one of the flowiest street riders in the area. He lays down some of the most technical moves around and does so with a distinctive style that is all his own.
That distinctive style carries itself into his professional life too where he has mastered the art of creative problem solving. Whether you are faced with a troublesome repair or require custom fabrication, Simon is the man to tackle the job. Being both creative and stubborn, there is never a problem Simon cannot resolve. One of the most talented mechanics in the region and the undisputed King of Single Speed. |

 |
Steven Hamilton - Mechanic / Sales
Returning for his third season, Steve has hands of gold and is certainly a key mechanic on the team. An excellent work ethic and willingness to help anyone with anything will ensure a bright future for him here and beyond.
Outside of work, Steve lives for the urband street style that has come to dominate the youth cycling scene. With solid DJ skills and a blossoming style, Steve is looking for some more progression this season after a fantastic 2007. |
