The focus of these bikes is rider comfort and overall practicality.
While still offering excellent performance, these bikes come equipped with cushy saddles, adjustable stems, and suspension seatposts. Many even come with factory installed fenders, racks and baskets making you ready to hit the local market in search of fresh prooduce. They are all ideally suited for some occasional commuting, cruising around town or exploring some mild trails.

Comfort
Comfort bikes are ideal for people who want to ride street and paved trails but may, on occasion, explore the local forests and stray off of the beaten path.
Like mountain bikes, they use 26" wheels that offer increased traction on loose terrain. All comfort bikes feature suspension front forks that improve comfort and control when the going gets rougher. |

Hybrid
Hybrid bikes have more of a road focus. Their larger diameter, higher-pressure tires excel on pavement offering less rolling resistance and aerodynamic drag. This translates into a faster bike that is easier to pedal.
Some hybrids have suspension forks for more comfort, while others use rigid forks to reduce weight and improve handling precision. |
