The most important thing about purchasing a childs bike is also the most obvious: Size. Unlike adult bikes that feature several different frame sizes for a given model, childrens bike sizes are based on wheel size.
The graphic below offers an approximate age range that each wheel size is suitable for. Bear in mind that your child may not fit the bike recommended by these age ranges – they are just generalizations.
The best option is to bring your child into the store for proper fitment. If you are aiming for a surprise, please come into the store with an inseam measurement and we will help guide your decision.
And, remember, if you do take home the wrong size or colour, you can always bring it back and we'll help you find the perfect ride! |
