Get out and go fast on Rocky Mountain's Element 950 RSL. It's crafted from Rocky's Smoothwall carbon and FORM aluminum with a tapered head tube and press fit bottom bracket for low weight, stiffness, and responsiveness. Up front, a 100mm-travel Manitou Marvel Pro leads the charge, and out back a remote-controlled Fox Float dishes out 95mm of trail-soothing suspension for increased control over the terrain. The rest of the specs are just as sweet. A Shimano XT drivetrain is powered by Race Face cranks; Shimano hydraulic discs provide strong braking; 29-inch Stan's ZTR wheels spin easily; Maxxis tires roll quickly; and the Race Face bar and stem are light yet tough so you can stay out and go fast all day.

Rocky Mountain's Smoothlink suspension places the rear chainstay pivot above the rear axle, keeping the chain torque line parallel to the linkage. The benefit? The rear suspension is always active, bob-free, and delivers a wonderful bottomless feel, no matter what gear you're in.

Rocky Mountain's Smoothwall Carbon construction creates a frame that is just as perfect on the inside as the outside. Rocky Mountain uses an inner mold to reduce excess resin, fibers and filler to create a super high fiber-to resin ratio. The result is an incredibly lightweight, stiff and responsive ride with incredible strength.
Rocky Mountain's FORM tubing pushes the limits of tube and frame design to create their unique riding feel. Every detail of the FORM frame-tube design has a purpose, from the outer shape and profile, to the wall thickness, tapers, flares and bends. This attention to detail, paired with premium materials and manufacturing processes, allows Rocky Mountain to push the boundaries of bicycle design.

Rocky Mountain's Angular Bushing Concept (ABC) pivots consist of an angular contact bushing (yellow) which rotates on a tapered alloy pivot. Carefully controlled tolerances eliminate binding on the pivot for smooth suspension movement. And, they are extra light and increase rear end stiffness by eliminating play.

About Me

Comments:

Recently upgraded from an Element 930 to the 950RSL and it was well worth the coin. My favourite change is the upgraded suspension and remote lockout of the front and rear suspension. The boys at Bateman's converted it to a tubeless set up for me and what a big difference in traction. Great bike, great service. Get one and get one at Bateman's!
