This is it, Rocky Mountain's Element 990 RSL is the culmination of decades of racing, winning, and most importantly, getting out there and riding constantly. Whether you're lining up at a start line or hitting an after-work hammerfest, the Element’s unmatched ride quality turns the speed way up. Its full carbon frame, 100mm of travel, and balanced geometry keeps you pinned in all terrain. A Fox 32 Float fork keeps the front end on point, and a remote-activated Float controls the hits out back. Both are Kashima-coated, and smooth as butter. Best-of-the-best Shimano XTR handles the shifting with its trademark light feel and Magura discs equal that precision. With kit like this, of course the Stan's Crest wheels are tubeless-ready, and you're perched on a carbon post and saddle. Rocky Mountain understands go-fast XC bikes, and the Element 990 RSL has the gear, the weight, and the heritage to help you win.

Rocky Mountain's Smoothlink suspension places the rear chainstay pivot above the rear axle, keeping the chain torque line parallel to the linkage. The benefit? The rear suspension is always active, bob-free, and delivers a wonderful bottomless feel, no matter what gear you're in.

Rocky Mountain's Smoothwall Carbon construction creates a frame that is just as perfect on the inside as the outside. Rocky Mountain uses an inner mold to reduce excess resin, fibers and filler to create a super high fiber-to resin ratio. The result is an incredibly lightweight, stiff and responsive ride with incredible strength.

Rocky Mountain's Angular Bushing Concept (ABC) pivots consist of an angular contact bushing (yellow) which rotates on a tapered alloy pivot. Carefully controlled tolerances eliminate binding on the pivot for smooth suspension movement. And, they are extra light and increase rear end stiffness by eliminating play.
