Team Time Trial Next Wednesday

With the season soon heading into it's last quarter, it's time to see who has trained too much, who has traned to little, and who is just going to burn right out.

With the abundance of sprint finishes we have witnessed over the past two weeks, it is hard to see anyone burning out quite yet. This week we saw series stalwart Rob Gentile climb onto the championship podium for the first time in his long racing career. In a sprint finish that was suspenseful to the last meter, Rob sprinted past fellow Novice rider Steven Walsh to claim fourth spot in the race and third in the series points championship. Steven has improved tremendously since joining us for the first time several weeks back and I am sure Rob knows that every sprint will only get tougher as he fights to hold onto a podium position.

The most exciting finish of the night had to belong to the Mini-Me category. Cale Boddaert has, to this point, typically walked away from his competitors with relative ease. This Wednesday, however, was a different story as Aidan Raynor took the bull by the horns and hung on to Cale's wheel with everything he had. Despite Cale's 30lb power advantage, Aidan took him right to the line and finished only 2 seconds back. Cale had better not rest on his laurels, because Aidan will be right there to take advantage. What amazingly intense racing for such young cyclists!

Don Blue also continued his run towards owning the podium and another strong finish has netted him third position in the Master Sport Male cat. When it comes to the series podium, consistency counts...but netting top three finishes is what gets the job done. Good work, Don! It's nice to see you riding yourself back into contention.

Wednesday, August 4th is TEAM TIME TRIAL night. Join in for some fun! This also makes a great night for spectating as you'll see the riders several times over the course of the race.
