Our Team is our life blood.

For every customer well served; for every racer who hits the course with confidence; for every Mom and Dad heading out safely with junior for a weekend cruise around the park – behind each of these positive experiences lies of team of hands and minds that do their utmost to make sure you have an enjoyable cycling experience.

We aren't a pressure sales kind of place. Our commitment is to listen to your needs, ask the right questions, and then get the right tool between your legs. (Can I say that?)

Our veteran staff are the reason we have been York Region's Bike Store of the Year every year since I started running Spoke O'Motion in 2004. Come on in for yourself to experience the Spoke O'Motion difference. Why treat yourself to anything less?

I look forward to seeing what 2010 brings with the greatest Spoke O'Motion team ever assembled.

Myles Cullen

I entered the bike business for the purest of reasons: A passion for pedalling. Whether it's a three hour road grind, twenty four solo hours of suffering, a gravity-fed adrenalin rush or an afternoon tooling around the skate park, if it's got two wheels you can count me in.

More than 10 years in cycling retail have taught me the importance of finding the right bike for the right rider. We're not here to sell you something, we're here to help you make the right decision for your needs.

Andrew Chan

Andrew is returning in 2010 for his second year and is looking to continue broadening his product knowledge so that no question will go unanswered. His quiet, soft-spoken demeanour reflects his eagerness to please and his technical training gives him the know-how to keep those wrenches spinning.

Another aspiring engineer in our midst, Andrew worked through his first year of training with the same dedication and focus he has applied at college. I am expecting great things out of Andrew in 2010 and am confident he will meet, and exceed, my expectations. He will certainly work hard to meet yours as well.

Brett Rheeder

From the boy I met almost seven years ago at our Coulson Hill Race Series, to the young man who has now firmly entreched himself at Spoke O'Motion, I see in Brett a willingness to upgrade his skills and continue learning new ones.

Never one to back away from a mechanical challenge, Brett will ensure you ride leaves the shop behaving exactly as it should. With all of his experience smashing his own gear, he oughta know how to fix stuff! Check out the video below for some examples.

A great rider with incredible aerial skills, Brett is diligent and ready to work his butt off to make you the happiest customer in town!

Cam Condy

Having spent a year travelling the great Outback, Cam has committed to rejoining the Spoke O'Motion crew for 2010 so that he can transfer the skills and lessons learned from working in bike shops down under.

Those who knew Cam in years past will be happy to see him rejoin the Spoke O'Motion family and help lead our mechanics and sales team to even greater things.

Experience is the best teacher and Cam certainly has that in spades. Welcome back to the Team!

Dan Gaudenzi

While Dan actually prefers turning wrenches to battling it out in the retail trenches, you'd never guess it once you start talking to him!

This affable, skilled mechanic has read enough on the intricacies of cycling technology to compose his own text book. His mechanical fixes have even been featured in the world-reknowned magazine, Mountain Bike Action.

For customer-first advice regarding all things cycling, Dan is certainly the guy to deliver the straight goods.

Devin Lutz

Devin is a wizard on wheels. This man lives, breathes, and eats BMX.

Devin and Steve Hamilton (below), combine to offer the Ontario BMX community the best dynamic duo this side of California. Aware of all the current trends that I can't keep up with, Devin and Steve ensure our store is always stocked with the hottest bikes and gear the BMX world has to offer.

Devin is not limited to this area, however. All of our staff are cross-trained to be able to serve the broad needs of all our customers. While we all have unique specialties, we can also all deliver across a broad spectrum of cycling categories.

Michael Baxter

Every collection of enthusiasts has that one guy (or gal) who pores through the magazines reading every bit of technical minutae available. Sprends hours on the net looking for the latest spy shots and the long-rumoured Shimano whadayacallit.

Mike is that guy. Combine a love of cycling – from 4X to DJ to road – with a passion for knowledge and a capacity to understand the complex and you get a team member who will not just tell you that product A is better than product B. You'll leave Spoke O'Motion understanding why.

Understanding the why is yet another Spoke O'Motion difference.

Simon Winter

How many bike shops can you name have a resident soon-to-be mechanical engineer on staff? Don't look too hard. There aren't any...except us.

Simon is a true mechnical maestro. As a 3rd year engineering student at world class Queens University, I guess he'd better be. Whether busy studying for exams, working on his school's award-winning racing buggy, and slogging away at his beloved Spoke O'Motion, Simon approaches his labours with a methodical mind and meticulous execution.

When all traditional repair routes have been travelled, find Simon and he'll blaze you a new trail you'd have never have found on your own.

Steve Hamilton

Steve is the quintessential all-rounder. He was one of the founding father of Newmarket's massive street/urban scene and has more recently been swept away in the new wave of BMX.

Together with Devin, Steve is responsible for our incredible reputation as a BMX destination store in Ontario. We regularly have customers making trips upwards of two hours to come and buy BMX gear. This is thanks to the efforts of staff like Steve that possess a depth knowledge that is hard to come and difficult to match.

This knowledge comes from his passion to provide a customer service excellence to everyone who walks through our doors. That is, after all, the Spoke O'Motion way.
